Chanach — a traditional leather container used for storing and transporting dairy products (kumis, ayran, suzmo).
It is made from the tanned skin of a goat or sheep: the hide is turned inside out, carefully processed, and sewn to form a spacious bag with a narrow neck. For convenience, the chanach is hung on special hooks or placed on a stand.
The chanach is strong, light, and convenient in everyday life, occupies an important place in Kyrgyz nomadic culture, and is considered an essential household item.
