Üzöngü (stirrup) is an auxiliary device attached to both sides of the saddle, designed to help the rider maintain balance while riding and to assist in mounting and dismounting a horse.

There are different types of stirrups — bronze, brass, and silver (silver-plated). Stirrups can also be made from wood or horn.

Although traditional types of stirrups are now rare, modern ready-made versions are produced in large quantities and are widely used today.
