сүрөттөмө :
This is a woven decoration for the yurt, stretched in front of the upper crossbar of the entrance (jabyk bash). It is made on a loom using 44 paired threads evenly arranged along the edges of the base. In the pattern, the central part features the kyyal köchötü (“fantasy motif”), while the sides display the tumarcha köchötü (“triangular ornament”). This composition is called müyüz kyyal — the “horn-shaped pattern.”

The name originates from ancient folk ornaments: müyüz köchöt (“horn motif”) and chagyrmak köchöt (“lightning motif”). These traditional designs form the foundation of Kyrgyz decorative art, evoking a sense of movement and elegance. In different villages, this pattern may be called chagyrmak köchöt or müyüz köchöt, depending on local tradition.

During the weaving process, the master (termechi) uses blue and red threads, intertwining them in pairs. Half of the 102 threads pass under the base — these are called urgaachy (“female” threads), while the other half go above it — erkegi (“male” threads). The pattern is then fixed into a dense woven structure (küzüktölöt).
